Yes we do, and yes we will. We’re fallen, we should know it, and I come to immediately mistrust those that try to deny the nastier parts of Christian history.
I still hope that we can try very hard not to re-do the mistakes we’ve already succeed at so grandly.

And you’re probably not a Catholic either, so you can’t force a confession and baptism before lighting the match. Hmm, how about a nice sermon and altar call and then writing John 3:16 on the board?
Ahhh. We true believers have such a history, don’t we? There are so many mistakes to be made, but I’m sure we’ll manage to make them all given enough time.

Very good point, is there any way to force opponents to understand this? it would be really handy if this level of common sense could be taken for granted in a debate.
